The TrollCam™ HD is a true high definition camera system with 720p or 1080i resolution. It is the most advanced TrollCam™ system to date, and it is available in both Classic SD and HD configurations. The TrollCam™ HD provides true to life images that give viewers a level of detail they have never before experienced. Beauty shots take on a new feel as the HD images capture the smallest of details.

Real-time auto white balance detects and automatically compensates for changes in the scene color temperature. What does that mean? It means a perfect picture in brilliant color. It will create a new level of realism and impact when viewed on large-screen monitors or projection TVs.

The TrollCam™ HD is a remote camera system that is often located at sites that also have ground receive equipment. It requires an external TS-940SL Remote Site Controller to provide the interface to the Master Controller. The TrollCam Classic and any collocated receive site equipment can share a common video and communications link, thereby eliminating the need to install additional links.

The TrollCam™ HD employs an environmentally shielded camera enclosure, which protects the camera, lens and electronics. The enclosure has a built-in heater, fan and high intensity dust and dirt particle blaster allowing it to be installed in any environment with mild to extreme weather conditions. An optional artic kit is available when further protection is desired. The design of the TrollCam HD™ allows for installation on an industry standard pipe mount.

The TrollCam™ HD brings all camera and lens functions, environmental controls and 16 user-defined presets together on an easy to use master control screen. Operating within the TouchStar™ Master Control System, the TrollCam™ HD operator has access to real-time video and control windows. The system is extremely intuitive and reduces training costs significantly. With the real-time video option comes the TIP function (Touch-In-Picture). All TouchStar™ communication components are available for the TrollCam™ Classic, so a variety of local, dedicated or dial-up telco, RF, microwave, TCP/IP, multiplexed or fiber-optic communications options can be implemented.
