Educational Requirements
Minimum BS or equivalent technical degree:
- Aerospace Engineering
- Computer Science
- EE/Electronic Engineering
- Manufacturing Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Systems Engineering
Experience
- Minimum 2 years experience as a Systems Engineer, Field Engineer, Electronics or Test Technician.
- Bachelors or Associates degree or, equivalent military instruction/experience in electronics is preferred.
- Broadcast or satellite engineering experience is desired.
- Experience in the use of an oscilloscope, DMM, Spectrum Analyzer and other electronic test equipment.
- Electronic circuit assembly and troubleshooting skills.
- Mechanical assembly and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read electronic schematics and mechanical assembly drawings.
- Strong computer skills in Windows XP, MS Word, and MS Excel.
- CAD experience and proficiency is a plus.
- Must be a self-sufficient and self motivated, and be able to work and complete daily duties with minimal supervision.
- 30 % domestic and foreign travel.
- Foreign language skills both written and oral are also considered desirable.
Prefer, but not limited to, career experience in:
- Systems engineering related to capturing customer requirements details. Performing trade studies as design details emerge. Exploring alternative configurations and presenting them to customers.
- Resolving issues during the implementation process and, after final delivery and customer acceptance.
- Troubleshooting, repairing and calibrating equipment from our standard product lines.
- Assist the Project Engineers with special assignments and engineering tasks in developing, prototyping, testing and producing custom systems for specific project needs.
