Network Master Communications Controller TNS-3000

Download brochure >

The TNS3000 is a high-speed network server and UMC5 high speed modem chassis. It is the TouchStar™ system hub that shifts the burden of remote site control away from a single master controller to a distributed architecture. It houses the modem cards and enables control of any number of remote sites simultaneously through diverse communication paths.

The Windows embedded OS and powerful 400MHz AMD MIPS processor guarantee that the system is highly stable and can adapt to future site or system growth.
The TNS3000 provides a host of options to meet the diversity and complexity of today’s communication paths such as: Ethernet, dial-up, RS-232/422, and 2/4-wire leased lines. TNS-3000

The TNS3000 can enable control of an unlimited number of sites over Ethernet. The TNS3000 has eight (8) UMC5 slots to accomodate sites that require connection via dial-up, RS-232/422, or 2/4-wire leased lines. The UCC2000 is a USB device and can be connected to the TNS3000 to provide further communication slots. The UCC2000 adds ten (10) UMC5 communication slots. Multiple UCC2000s can be connected to the TNS3000 when necessary to meet system requirements.

The TNS3000 can also be configured as a “local” site controller which can control parallel and serial devices such as: A/V routers, switchers, receivers and spectrum viewers.

The TNS-3000 Advantage:

• Capable of connections to multiple or networked masters, controlling multiple   receive sites.
• Mixed communications environments
• Supports an unlimited number of receive sites via Ethernet
• Supports up to 8 receive sites via dial-up, RS 232/422 and 2/4 wire leased line.
• X350 expansion chassis supports up to 10 additional receive sites via dial-up, RS   232/422 and 2/4 wire leased line.
• Up to (4) X350 expansion chassis can be added
• Master controllers communicate with the TNS-3000 via Ethernet
• Solid state design - no moving parts
