The UCC2000 is primarily a UMC5 high-speed modem chassis which can house up to ten (10) modem cards. The UCC2000 is designed to be used in non-networked master controller environments.
The UCC2000 can enable communication with ten (10) remote sites over dial-up, RS-232/422, and/or 2/4-wire leased lines.
The UCC2000 is a USB device that connects directly to a master controller. A GUI interface is provided within the TouchStar application that displays diagnostic and status information.
Additional UCC2000s can be added to the system when more than ten UMC5 cards are necessary.
The UCC2000 can also be configured as a “local” site controller which is capable of controlling parallel and serial devices such as: A/V routers, switchers, receivers, and spectrum viewers.
The UMC Modem card is the preferred method for reliable communications
between TouchStar Master Control Systems and remote site equipment.
It provides quick and flawless communication over RS-232/RS-422,
2 or 4 wire leased line and 2 wire dial-up. UMC Modem cards
can easily be reconfigured to work in any of these modes by
changing dipswitch settings on the face of the card.
