Remote Site Controller

The S350 is a remote site controller designed specifically for non-steerable antenna systems.

The S350 controls Sector/Quad Horn antenna systems, digital receivers and decoders, spectrum viewers and A/V switchers. It also has spare I/O available for user-required functions.

The S350 is a more affordable site controller than its “big brother” the S750, but it shares many of its internal parts including the same powerful microprocessor. It also features the same flexible communications options providing connections over Ethernet TCP/IP, microwave, high-speed dial-up, RS-232/422 and 2/4-wire leased lines.

The S350’s capabilities can be increased with the addition of an X750 or X350 expansion chassis. The X750 expansion chassis allows the control of a steerable device and the X350 allows the control of additional non-steerable devices. Both expansion chassis can add parallel and serial capabilities to the system. X750s and X350s are USB devices and connect to the S750’s spare USB ports.

The “S” series site controllers offer a wide variety of ConTroll-PACs, which provide solutions for specific functionality. A ConTroll-PAC is a hardware and/or software package added to an existing S350, X750 or X350. They allow for control of hardware such as receivers, transmitters, digital encoders, spectrum viewers and switchers.

The S350 was designed to be rugged and reliable for years of service in adverse environments. Careful attention to design and manufacture assure performance and reliability, especially in high RF environments common to remote ENG facilities.
