The C10/C90 is the “Split Head” version of Troll’s popular C100 touchscreen controller. The C10/C90 directly controls the SkyLink antenna systems and related equipment. The C90 outputs graphics to your onboard VGA monitor. The C10 is a panel-mounted user interface that features a rotary encoder, push buttons and toggle switch that enable you to navigate among control functions including terrain maps, video, RF signal characteristics, antenna switching, power monitoring, antenna tracking and waypoint selection. In addition to SkyLink antennas, the C10/C90 can control:
• Microwave radios • Power system • Audio/Video routers • Digital encoders/decoders

The C10/C90 can control all of the functions on microwave radios supplied by various vendors. Using the C10/C90, the radios may be “remote mounted” – all radio functions are controlled via the C10/C90 “Split Head.” The C10/C90 also provides “preset modes” which allow the user to automatically select a desired mode of operation with a single button.
The C10/C90 integrates a moving map. Now the user can continuously monitor the aircraft’s position relative to the receive sites and major landmarks.
Control of Microwave radios:
The C90/C10 provides full function control of microwave radios
produced by all leading manufacturers, including MRC and Nucomm.
These radios can be remotely mounted and do not require additional
control panels.
The C90/C10 supplies a number of presets, which allows the system
to automatically select a desired mode of operation with a
single button. This type of operation would normally require
several complicated steps on multiple control panels if done
manually.
Power Management:
The C90/C10 provides control and monitoring of the radio power
input. Since the radio power comes from the C90/C10, no additional
circuit breakers are required, thus simplifying the installation.
Video Switcher Control:
The C90/C10 provides integrated control of a video switcher (external
switcher - not built-in to the C90/C10). The switcher may be
controlled automatically to select the correct setting for
different modes of operation such as analog transmission,
digital SD transmission and HD transmission. It can also automatically
select the correct signal for each monitor and allow a user
to change any video routing for special mission requirements.
Audio Switcher Control:
The C90/C10 provides integrated control of an audio switcher
(the audio switcher is external and may also have local control
panels). Using the C100, the audio switching can be set to
automatically follow the video. The audio may also be switched
as part of a preset.
Simple Map System:
The aircraft is tracked on a street level map and displays
a representation of the transmitting microwave beam as it
points to a receive site. Onboard GPS keeps the antenna pointed
at the selected location regardless of the helicopter's position.
In addition to displaying the active beam, there are also
markers that graphically help the user to quickly identify
other receive sites on the map. Although not used for navigation,
the Map provides an easy way for the microwave engineer to
determine the best microwave path for a given shot.
Presets:
The C90/C10 supports presets. A preset can set several system
settings with a single button. This is very important in HD
systems because several units from different suppliers must
be operated simultaneously to change modes of operation.
A fully integrated SkyLink system utilizing the C90/C10 eliminates
the need for multiple control systems, thereby providing faster,
easier access to all essential broadcast functions.
