Video and Data Downlink
The SkyLink DP is a deployable Omni antenna system, which
is both lightweight and cost effective. This system extends
a mast below the aircraft skids allowing an omni-directional
antenna to work properly without the obstruction of various
payloads, such as external cameras, floats, steps and other
aircraft mounted equipment.
The SkyLink DP utilizes a pilot panel, which allows the pilot
to deploy and retract the antenna. For added functionality,
a C-100 controller can be added to control radios and data
tracking (NavTrack).
The mast of SkyLink DP has a frangible link that will break
should the helicopter land with the antenna deployed. This
safety feature ensures that a serious accident will be avoided,
and no damage will be done to the aircraft.
Like all SkyLink antenna systems, the SkyLink DP is rugged
and durable providing many years of dependable service.
